Fun fiasco

I don’t party! ( I am Not allowed to..sad story i know! and i don’t really count those one or two instances when i am allowed out till like 10-10.30 pm max! as parying out!) whatever..so this time we threw a party for the freshers…turned out to be well..a fun fiasco! Fun coz i was allowed little bit of partying and boozing:D as for the fiasco…it started when on reaching we found that the guys responsible for the food,booze and music had not arrived ( there is this one thing bout guys..firstly they act all smart..take all the responsibilities and den they juss end up messing everything!) they reached after 15 mins…and realised that they forgot an adapter and some cords…amazing! another trip back…we sat without music for like an hour…ok we had booze  and some food..thank god…next they needed another player (we got all dj’s in the making) more frantic calls..more trips in d car hunting for another player…finally we had music..had a ball..danced and freaked out..but not for long…one of the junior girls..got all high..called her ex and wat not..he landed up after some time wid another bunch of guys…making the place a somewat battlefield with half of our class guys trying to talk and fight at the same time. meanwhile another couple of freshers started puking..hell! Then started the " go home..get out of here…" part..grouped them off..sent them finally..only the girl who called her ex…her cell was dead and no one knew her proper address..finally they somehow managed to contact her dad ( acc to the last phone call i made) hope she reaches home safely..tho am sure she’s gonna get a good scolding from her folks…to top it all we had to deal with the hall caretaker..who kept coming telling us to stop the music..( another  result of a tight budget-we got a place which was inexpensive but in a residential area)..neighbours came out by the time half the ppl had left……we had to be real careful, coz if the college name came up..and someone complained..then we’ll be Royallly screwed!

 

So basically…no party permission sucks, and taking party responsibility- bad idea. enjoy the music while it lasts..! 🙂

Stuck!

These days i’m in the position of a donkey (the game where two players throw a ball/frisbee with one person in the center trying to catch it..the donkey!) Two of my good friends have been arguing like crazy over the past few days…and it so happens that i’m the one stuck in the middle..one has a BIG ego and the other is Very stubborn…so i end up playin the role of the reconciliator…a few days back i was actually standing right in the middle of the road..both of them standing at opposite ends..a la hindi film situation..where do i go..! its so funny when they fight..they both will turn their faces away from each other…wonder when they’ll stop these crazy arguments! If only others were compromising..this world would be SO much simpler n peaceful..

Virrudh- of Powerful Aby,Cute John,Product Endorsements…and some more

Paid 80 bucks to watch virrudh yesterday..and got treated to another movie as well!

Being on the broke side these days we ended up getting seats in the 3rd row (inox) while half the rows were empty…the 2nd movie was too compelling to actually leave the 3rd row and grab better seats. 30 minutes into the film…with John’s hot looks..Aby Sr.’s amazing comedy…we realised we were being treated to movie part 2..a mushy cozy couple liplocking on our left row. That was enough to have my friends & me stare at them every 15 minutes..squealing & passing comments on them as well..lolz

 

Coming back to the film..Good performances by Amitabh and Sharmilla Tagore- they are brilliant..the story becomes a little typical in some parts ( like aby buying gajras..and then making them with his own hands..the scenes where Sharmilla gives the cop aby’s medicines and he does the same etc.) And product endorsements..oh God- everything from Elf engine oil to nerolac paints to calcium sandoz..western union money transfer….Endless! might have missed some more..one or two endoresements are ok..but this got a little silly…No songs in the film-THANK GOD! not even the small little sad versions- the film would have been a disaster had there been one or two of those emotional senti songs…all actors perform well.. anusha’s accented hindi matches with her role..john as the whole world is saying..is improving with each film..and sanjay dutt good too (though i don’t really understand why the credits show "In a dynamic performance- sanjay dutt" ..i mean he doesn’t have that dynamic a role…unless ur considering the scenes where he breaks half the furniture in aby’s home to be dynamic!! ..lolz) But overall a good film..can watch once..!

 

As for the smooching couple..they realised that they have an audience..so they stuck to holding hands n resting their heads on each others shoulders…the girl walked out like half an hour before the ending with the guy following..prompting my friend to say "I’m sure they had  fight" Yeah right!

I said it..!! Well i guess it’s common news by now…so 😉 Just finished reading the book..and have to say that it’s GREAT….potter fans won’t be disappointed..a whole lot of secrets are revealed in the book..Rowling keeps it interesting throughout, also giving hints that the next book will be equally exciting (now that Harry’s all set to take final revenge..] Harry finally hooks up with Ginny…while Ron and Hermione keep fighting on and off…few people i know actually cried when they reached the ending…i dont get it..have u ppl cried while reading a book? Any book that sad?
